The grave of 2 brothers, Samuel and John Ellis

The headstone is inscribed:

In
Memory of
Samuel Ellis
Son of John & Ann Ellis
of this Parish
Who departed this life October 9th 1829
Aged 34 Years
In life & health he had endeavoured to serve god & man
Whence in illness and in death he was
Blessed with the light of his saviour’s countenance
And we trust is now, with him for evermore.

Also John Ellis
Son of John & Ann Ellis
of this Parish
Who departed this life July 21st. 1824
Aged 39 Years.
Weep not dear wife, my life is past,
Your love for me so long did last;
Therefore I hope you’ll live in love
Until me meet in heaven above.
?? Jackman - Brentor

(I'm not sure what the last line refers to - was Jackman of Brentor the sculptor? Or was there another person with details on the stone, now under the ground? I will try to have a better look on a dry day!)
