Sortridge is now in Horrabridge Parish, a Parish created in the C19th. Historically it was in a detached part of Peter Tavy Parish, a detached part which was mostly surrounded by Whitchurch though adjoining Buckland Monachorum on its sourthern edge. Sortridge being 2 miles from Whitchurch Church, under 3 miles from Buckland Church but nearly six from Peter Tavy Church it is not surprising to find some CMB events of those living at Sortridge in the PRs for Whitchurch.
