Notes:
Torquay was originally a small port in the parish of Tormoham, Devon. As coastal places became popular for their supposed health benefits and the port area grew, Torquay became the name of the town and the old parish name slowly disappeared from use.
Torquay also encompasses the another old parish, St. Marychurch. There is a Park Road in the St. Marychurch part of Torquay but I don't believe this would have been referred to as Tormoham.
