Name Charlotte SKINNER Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Abt 1804 Pluckley, Kent, England - From 1851 census where shown as aged 46
Gender Female Residence 1851 Hackington, Kent, England - At the time of the census Charlotte was shown as married but her husband was absent. She was receiving 'Parish Relief' and with her were four of her children (William, at work, and 3 at school: Louisa, Edward and George). I guess that a little relief for the family was better for the parish than putting all of them in the workhouse.
Also present was a 'visitor' - John Parker! Given that he was also working, and that his being with the family / Charlote in the previous and next censuses suggest his presence was more permanent that the term visitor implies there would have been two wages coming into the house.
The out relief though did not extend to Charlotte's daughter Hannah who was, with her one year old illegitimate daughter, in the Blean Union Workhouse.
Residence 1861 St. Stephen’s Road, Hackington, Kent, England - The head of a household with just one other occupant - boarder John Parker.
Died Aft 1861 - In the census, shown as a widow
