    • In the 1851 her first husband, Edward Charrosin was shown as victualler, in 1861 her second husband William Webb was, but in the 1858 Melvilles Directory Charlotte was (on the PubHistory website). She probably was between being widowed in 1853 and remarrying in 1859.
The 1867 Post Office Directory Charlotte and William were still at the Woodmans Arms in 1867 but they had moved on by 1871.

    • Between 1867 and 1871 Charlotte and her husband William along with her granddaughter Charlotte must have moved to another pub, but not far, still being in Wincheap Street.

(The advertisement of a sale of several tenements in Underdown Row in 1848 shows Underdown Row as being in Wincheap Street; this is in line with the 1871 census entry when looking both before and after homes described as in Underdown Row or Underdown Cottages one finds entries for homes in Wincheap Street) By 1874 it was Charlotte who was again described as a victualler in the Post Office Directory; this was probably because she was a widower for a second time.

    • From image of PR entry (on FMP, viewed 6 Dec 2013) - shows Edward Charrison and Charlotte Dray, bachelor and spinster, married by banns, both made their marks; witnesses were Henry Shedarich(?) who made his mark and Elizabeth Charrison who signed.
No real clue as to Edward's parents in marriage entry; Evans and Mary Ann did have a daughter Elizabeth who could well have been the one to witness the marriage, but she could easily have done that if a cousin rather than a sister.
