      1775 Jun 19 Thomas MUNN Ba Otp Ann PHIPPS Sp Otp B John Phipps John File

      nb/ this shows Thoms Munn as a bachelor; if I am right in linking him as the Thomas who married Hester Hunt he was a widower.
      Why do I think it might be the same one?
      it would be natural - important, as the father of young children - for Thomas to marry again (though could have remarried elsewhere);
      I've only found the one Thomas bapt in Maidstone to fit as the Thomas for both of these marriages (though he could have been baptised elsewhere);
      if he did remarry elsewhere but continue to live in Maidstone there is no sign of other children;
      a John Phipps witnessed this marriage - Thomas who I believe marr Hester had a father called John (though of course such a common name adds v little to the argument).

      HOWEVER Thomas could only have married Ann if there is an error in either the date of Hester's burial or the date of the marriage.

      In addition, though I didn't find other Thomases bapt in Maidstone, there were other deaths / burials. As well as burials in 1794 and 1805 (one presumably this Thomas) a Thomas left a will in 1837 / 8.
