Robert CORDGER
Set As Default Person -
Name Robert CORDGER Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 7 Oct 1753 St. Martin of Tours’ Church, Detling, Kent, England
- In PR (KFHS transcript, CD 28) Robert is shown as the son of Susannah Cordier but there are no other families of a similar name in the parish so I think he must be a son of Susannah Cordger. Also, when Susannah's sister was buried her surname was spelt Cordier.
Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Buried 2 Dec 1753 St. Martin of Tours’ Church, Detling, Kent, England
- From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 3 Jul 2024)
In the part of the register with burials, under heading '1753':
"Dec : 2 . Robert base born of Susanna Cordier"
(surname squeezed in by edge of page, not clear I think 'Cord' in line with 'ier' above)
Despite it being unclear I am sure it is the right burial, given the small no. of illegitimate children at this time, the baptism earlier in the year and the correct mother's name)
