Thomas LUCAS
Set As Default Person -
Name Thomas LUCAS Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born (probably), Bishopsbourne, Kent, England
Baptised 23 Apr 1790 St. Mary’s Church, Bishopsbourne, Kent, England
- In the entry for Thomas' bapt it is noted that it was a private one and that his parents were paupers
Gender Male Buried 29 Apr 1790 St. Mary’s Church, Bishopsbourne, Kent, England
- Acc to KFHS transcript (CD 23) this burial was of an infant called John. However, not only do I not know of a John, but this Thomas presumably died before his bro also called Thomas was born c 1792, and this burial is a few days after his baptism, which was private, implying his life was at risk. There is no other Thomas bur recorded in the transcript for Bishopsbourne to fit, so I think this must be a mistake in the register or the transcription.

Though the entry generally referred to Stephen Lucas he signed his name as Stephen Lukus!
Mary made her mark, as did her sister Martha as a witness.
The other witness was J. Saffery, who was a witness to most marriages at St. Mary Northgate at this time and so probably no connection to the family.
