"[10.ber] the. 12.th Thom: the Son of John Issell & Joane &c"
Gender Male Apprenticeship 1767 Frittiscombe, Stokenham, Devon, England To butcher Roger Hayne - 1767 (February 7) is when tax was paid on this apprenticeship; it does not necessarily reflect the beginning of the end. Boys were usually apprenticed from the age of 14 to 21; this Thomas would have been about 17 when the tax was paid, and is the only Thomas Issell I'm aware of of an age to be an apprentice at this time.
The record of tax paid on the apprenticeship appears to show that Thomas was apprenticed to butcher Roger Hayne of Fr(e/i)lliscombe. However, there appears to be no such place in the whole of Devon.
The nearest name to this seems to be Frittiscombe; other 't's have a very clear cross stroke, but the clerk may have been writing up the ledger from a less clear document.

"April the 15 Thomas Issell"
Nothing to indicate this Thomas, it is possible this burial was of the uncle of this Thomas - I may have their burials the wrong way around.
