Family Susanna KETTLE, b. Abt 1774, Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England , d. Yes, date unknown Married 15 Oct 1800 St. John the Baptist Church, Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England - From Parish Register (viewed in Record Office, image now on FMP)
By banns, both signed, witnesses: James Craven, Joseph Waters
(John Towland who signed most i.e. probably parish clerk); Susanna described as single
woman (n.b. not spinster)
Assuming I have the right William and Susanna, they probably had children before Mary and Sarah, could have been born / baptised wherever the militia was (to be researched).
An Elizabeth, daughter of Wm and S Craven was born and baptised in Barnsley in 1803, a Thomas son of Wm. and Susanna in nearby Penistone in 1808. Were either or both of these children of William and Susanna from Knaresborough? I haven't found an alternative marriage for them.
Though there were 3 children of a William and Susanna baptised in Wakefield, 1802-11, a William and Susanah had married in Wakefield in 1802, so those children were almost certainly theirs.
