    • As a number of Judith's close family married in London, and as I've not come across any other Judith Goathams I am fairly sure this is the marrige of the Judith as shown here..

There were 2 different John and Judith Fosters married only 7 years and about 4 miles apart.
A John and Judith Foster had children baptised at St. Matthew's Church, Bethnal Green (1773-1794); John Foster and Judith née Goatham are not the parents. The spacing and fact they were all at the same church suggest this is one family; they fit as children of a John Foster who married 'Juda Lebeau' at St. Matthew's in 1772. The marriage entry shows that the John who married in 1772 was a bachelor, so it appears not to be the same John remarrying. A Judith Foster died in Bethnal Green RD in 1838, age given as 86 in death registration online index, i.e. probably born 1751, probably Judith née Lebeau, not Judith née Goatham.

Unfortunately I have yet to discover what became of the couple I am interested in!
Judith's brother Robert left money to his niece "Elizabeth Soper" - did Judith have a daughter who married a Soper? Did Judith remarry to a Soper and then have a daughter Elizabeth?
