Jane PEPPERELL
Set As Default Person -
Name Jane PEPPERELL Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Abt 1747 - From age given in burial register of 80.
The only baptism I am aware of that could be this Jane was not until Sept 1756. Whilst ages in burial registers are not always accurate, and a round age of 80 may be due to uncertainty and an approximate age chosen, if this Jane was the one who was baptised in 1756 that would suggest she was only 13 when she married in 1769. Twelve was the youngest a girl could marry but young ages like this were extremely rare. It seems much more likely to be a different Jane, and that for one of a number of possible reasons I haven't found Jane's baptism.
