Notes - Since all the other C19th Stockbury-born Whiteheads seem to be descendants of Richard and Mary nee Grigsby I think Elizabeth must be too, and reasons for placing her as the daughter of Richard and Mary are shown below.
In the censuses from 1851 to 1881 Elizabeth is living with Thomas Humphrey, apparently as his housemaid (1851) and then as his housekeeper, but she appears to have borne him 2 daughters (both have the middle name Humphrey)
Not with her daughters in 1891 - guess probably died.
Why I think Elizabeth was the dau of Richard and Mary:
I haven't found Richard and Mary and their children together at the time of the 1841 census.
A Mary died in the Workhouse in 1840 who could have been Richard's wife
Three Whitehead girls are listed together in the Workhouse in the 1841 census: Elizabeth (age 11), Ann (age 10) and Jane (age 8). Ann and Jane are the right ages to be the known daughters of Richard and Mary. Families appear to be listed together in this Workhouse entry, not by age or alphabetically, so the listing of Elizabeth with the other 2 suggests she was closely related to them.
In addition, while the 1841 census does not show birthplace, I had already identified Richard and Mary as the most likely parents of a Stockbury-born Elizabeth of the same age as this one who in subsequent censuses was living with (and had children with) Thomas Humphrey. This is by looking at which Whitehead couples were having children in Stockbury around the time Elizabeth was born, and at who had a gap in which she could have been born. (The only other couple known to be having children at this time with a gap were Richard's parents, Edward and Catherine, though the gap was a little on the small side).
The only baptism for an Elizabeth born anywhere near this date is for a daughter of James and Sarah, bapt in 1834, but she appears to have died aged 2.
