  • Name Sarah GOATHAM
    Relationshipwith Teresa Ann GOATHAM
    Born Abt 1713
    • Date based on description of "infant" in the burial register.
I think she was probably a daughter of Richard and Mary because they seem to have been the only Goatham couple having children in the area at the time.
However, the other children of Richard and Mary who died young, as well as Richard and Mary themselves were buried in Herne, although they had moved to live in Whitstable parish at some point, possibly between the baptism of Ann in Herne in 1712 (no comment to show she was not of Herne  parish) and the burial of Richard when he was recorded as 'of Whitstable'.

Could be the illegitimate daughter of a female Goatham.

    Notes
    • This is the first evidence I know of of a Goatham family event in Whitstable. But I haven't found Sarah's baptism, so I don't know if she was the daughter of George, Richard and Mary or Thomas (or someone else).
Most likely Richard and Mary since it is some years since both Thomas and George had been widowed and I'm not aware of them remarrying.
