    • The bapt register (data transcribed on KFHS CD 28) shows that Stephen was the oldest of 12 children of Joseph and Mary, the last baptised in 1818. Once new style registers were introduced and the father's occupation included we find Joseph recorded as 'servant in husbandry' (1813) and then husbandman (1814, 1816 and 1818)
