Est 1735, bur. 10 Jul 1781, St. Mary’s Church, Aldingbourne, Sussex, England (Age ~ 46 years) (Grandmother) Notes - A Thomas Tapner, a bricklayer, was named as the putative father in a bastardy order of 27 Apr 1816, the mother being Sarah Harvey (a singlewoman). The order was issued by Storrington Parish but the foreign parish was Clapham. I suspect it was this Thomas, partly due to his clearly having moved to the London area, his being one of the Thomases of about the right age, and his father or step-father being a Harvey - so Sarah might have been a cousin.
