    • GRO ref: THORNTON, Robert to INMAN, Fannie q2 1881 Leeds RD 9b 514
Details from PR entry (image on Ancestry, viewed 6 Aug 2023)
Names Fannie's father as Daniel Inman, a tailor, and age suggests born 1853 or 4, both pointing to it being the marriage of this Fannie Inman.

The witnesses were Christiana Hanakin (who made her mark) and Martin Johnson.
Fifteen days before the marriage Fannie and Robert were both boarders in the home of William and Christiana Han(n)akin.

Robert and Fanny were not toegether at the time of the 1891 census, so it looks like the marriage may not have lasted.

There do not appear to have been any children from the marriage.
    Misc. 1883
    Stabbed and attempted murder
    • A week after Fanny left Robert, he met up with her, stabbed her in the back a number of times with a pocket knife, was tried for stabbing with intention to murder and found guilty and jailed.
    Separated 1883
    • Fanny left Robert due to his cruelty to her.
