No apparent death as William ROSE, nor found in censuses, but just 2 months after his baptism his mother married to George CASTLE, so it seems possible George was William's biological father, and whether he was or wasn't William may have taken the surname CASTLE. Sure enough, a William CASTLE with the right age and birthplace (Kingston) is in the 1871 census, although there is no birth registration of a William CASTLE there. Looking at the census entry he is shown as the son of George CASTLE!
I thought that this may not be the right William, though, as George had other children, born after Harriet née ROSE had died, and checking the mother's maiden name I found it was GODDEN. However, there is also a marriage of a widower George CASTLE to Sarah GODDEN in 1667, i.e. after Harriet's death, all consistent with William found as William CASTLE in the 1871 being Harriet's son.

I am assuming the cousin's son was the one still in Kingston, and this one the one in Waltham.
