Shows John Whitehead married Mary Wright, no other information given.

But was it the marriage of this John?
It seems clear that a John Whitehead, born c. 1777, probably in Knockholt, had a wife Mary and the children shown. His death and burial place are right for this John, and the children with him and his wife in 1841 and his widow in 1851, their names and ages in both, and their birthplaces in the latter, fit some of the known children of the Knockholt / Chelsfield family, although they were living at Bromley Common by the time of the censuses.
However, this John (i.e. son fo John and Hannah) had a first cousin John, son of his father's brother James, baptised in Knockholt within a year of this John.
In support of this John (son of John) is his age in the death registration, and a descendant of his son George having a no. of DNA matches with descendants of other sons of John (bap 1731). That both John bap 1731 and this John seem to have moved to Bromley, although the latter not in the lifetime of the former, could also indicate a link.
In favour of it being John the son of James who had the wife and family shown here is the naming of the eldest son James.
The evidence I have found is not conclusive.

      NOT this John
There is solid evidence that the John (who I think son of John bap 1731)  and wife Mary who had a number of children baptised Knockholt 1808-1825 could not have been the parents of the children baptised in Shoreham 1801-3; they belong to the Halstead family. See the marriage notes for that couple for a full explanation.
