Thomas WHITEHEAD, [Parents?]
Set As Default Person -
Name Thomas WHITEHEAD Suffix [ONS gp] [Parents?] Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Est 1733 - Estimate of datebased on gap between known baptisms of children of his suggested parents; a little earlier than average for someone who married in 1754, but not excessively so - people were begining to marry earlier by this time.
I am suggesting his parents as I share some DNA with a descendant of Mary baptized in Knockholt in 1793, daughter of Thomas's son Isaac. It is possible, though, that I have a different link to the match. My only known link to the Knockholt area being my 5 x great grandparents Thomas Whitehead and Mary Barton I doubt if the Whithead is a co-incidence, but it is possible Richard (bap 1739) or or his father Thomas (bap 1705) had a cousin Thomas who was the father of Isaac and I am more distantly related to that line.

- From register
"27 Thomas Whited of Nockholt in Kent Husb.
Mary Barton of Chelsfield B:Sp Gay" - under heading 'December 1729'
'B:Sp' clearly stands for 'Bachelor:Spinster'; I think it says 'B:', but written over something else. probably W. It is just possible it's a W ontop of B.
