  	No mention of Richard in his father's will suggests he had died by the time it was written. If Richard had been living but John not wished to leave him anything, we might have expected John to leave him a tiny bequest (as he did his daughter Christian) to show that his omission was not accidental and hence to stop him trying to claim this.
