(Vivian shows their family on p.372, but has them wrongly assigned to the Walter Hele who married Joan Maynard - not from information in the heralds visitation documents. The 1620 visitation for the Fownes family shows that Joane was daughter of Walter of 'Knaton', i.e. the Walter who was married to Elizabeth Strode, and the will of their daughter Elizabeth confirms this.)
