    • It seems probable it was Richard, George's son from Chartham, who rapidly married, had a family and died in Minster. Dunkin was not a common surname, though there were quite a few in Margate, but no sign of a Richard. There had been no Dunkin events in Minster for about 60 years when Richard's parents married there, and there were no more until the marriage of Richard. Richard's mother was from Minster so his links with the parish may have led to him meeting Hannah and/or settling there. He was not his father's eldest son, so less likely to take over from him in Chartham.
