Name Jacob WASHENTON Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised - No baptism found,
Gender Male Buried 19 Dec 1611 All Saints’ Church, Whitstable, Kent, England - From PR entry (from transcribed data on KFHS CD 22)
Notes - (Research):Although Washington / Washenton etc. was not a Whitstable name the family seemed to be from not too far away, with quite a few in Canterbury and nearby. In Littlebourne in particular there may be a link, given that Jacob named his son Abraham, and 'Abrahame Washingtone ane ould man' was buried there in 1624, whilst a child 'Abraham Wessenden' was buried there in 1588.

Family Margery, b. Abt 1575, bur. 9 Jul 1626, St. Laurence’s Church, St. Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, England (Age ~ 51 years)
Other Partners: Richard FITTELL m. 1612; Augustine HILLS m. 24 May 1625Married Bef 1610 - Margery married Richard Fittel as a widow Margery Washenton in Whitstable. Washenton / Washington etc. was an unusual name in Whitstable, but an Abraham had been baptised there in 1610, son of Jacob, and Jacob had been buried there in 1611. It therefore seems probable that this was Margery's son and husband.
A probate inventory for Jacob survive's - this may well name his widow and so confirm whether or not it was Margery.
