Hercules HILLS

1674 - 1675  (~ 0 years)

 Set As Default Person

• Name	Hercules HILLS
  Relationship	with Teresa Ann GOATHAM
Baptised	27 Sep 1674	St. Laurence’s Church, St. Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, England
From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 28 Sep 2020) "Hilles: Hercules son of Augusten & Anne Hilles bap the 27th Septem"
  Gender	Male
Buried	4 Aug 1675	St. Laurence’s Church, St. Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, England
From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 29 Sep 2020) "Hilles: Arkeles son of Augusten & Ann Hilles bap the 4 August" Was this a burial or a baptism? - it is in the burial section but says 'bap'. All the other entries on the page have 'bur' or 'buried' within the text; the scribe having noticed they had forgotten on this occasion appears to have then inserted the wrong word - I think. There is clearly some confusion between the names Archilaus and Hercules; I don't think Augustine would have given the name Arkeles to a son when Hercules was still living, and there is no sign of his death.
