    Married
    • Were this couple the parents of John and Richard? - there were Johns buried in Marldon in 1637 and 1642. Seeing the abstract of the will of the John who died in 1637 will hopefully clarify, although as Wilmoth had already died it might not be clear if he was her husband, and in addition as the Richard who married in 1624 is not likely to have been the Richard baptised in 1607 it may remain unclear, i.e. both Johns may have had sons called Richard.

Family BARTER,   d. Yes, date unknown
    Married Bef 1637
    • Johane named as Johane Barter in the will of her father, written 1637
(It is fairly unusual, though certainly far from unknown at this time, for 2 living daughters to share a Christian name, as Miss Moger's abstract of her father's will suggests was the case here. I do wonder if there was either an error in the abstract, or in the will it was based on - especially if a register copy - or if one of John's daughters was illegitimate)
