    • I am guessing that Philip was a son of Thomas as he named a daughter Ursula, i.e. the name of a sister and grandmother, if he was Thomas's daughter. The names he used for his sons is also consistent with this - George, his supposed brother's name, then after his own name Thomas, his supposed father's name.
Given that the PRs for Ashburton record two children of the Thomas I think was Philip's father with the Christian name missing, Philip could well be one of these, i.e. baptised in 1693 or 1703.
