  	The Post Office Staff nomination and appointment books include an entry for an appointment of a Percival B Rudgard. The BMD index show this name was unique in England and Wales, so I'm sure the appointment was of this Percival.

His wife was his assistant in 1939 (curiously recorded in the register as 'Asistant to myself' since who 'myself' was does not seem to be defined, but was presumably on the record for the individual household from which the register was constructed). Also living in the hotel were a 29 year old Barmaid and a General Cook.
