Shows "George Fearon Gardner, aged 21, Bachelor, Hosier, resident 39 Arlington Street, father George Fearon Gardner, Gentleman married
Marrianne Quinton Bone, aged 19, Spinster, [no occupation shown], resident 39 Arlington Street, father Robert Trewick Bone, Artist"
Although some events (such as George's baptism and marriage) took place in Anglican churches, it appears the family were at least in part Roman Catholic, by 1872 if not before. The entry for George and Marianne's son Albert Henry in a burial register shows him as Roman Catholic (clearly not a personal choice to change by him, as he was aged just 7 months), and after Marianne's death Ada is found in the 1881 census boarding at a Roman Catholic school.
