      There weren't that many Jacob Jessops and there is no other evidence of what became of the Ashburton one if he wasn't this one.
      A Jacob Jessop was buried in Ashburton on 3 Feb 1666 but unlike many entries on the page it does not state 'sonne of ...', so I think it was the father of this Jacob.
