John GOTTAM
Set As Default Person -
Name John GOTTAM Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 11 Sep 1789 St. John’s Church, Burslem, Staffordshire, England
- From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 6 Nov 2014)
Although shown as the son of John and Mary, I think John junior was probably the son of Edward and Mary, and a mistake made in the baptism register.
There was only one other baptism of a Gotham in Burslem around this time, John the son of Edward and Mary in 1791. There was also a gap between their other children if this John was not their son. Lastly, I have not come across a John and Mary whose son this was likely to be. (Edward's brother John did not marry until 1791)
