- Rounded down age shown as 40 in the 1841 census, suggesting born 1796-1801, but age shown as 69 in 1851 and 77 in 1861; date shown based on these. I guess in 1841 was to make her seem closer in age to her younger husband (they had only married the previous year - perhaps by then she hadn't admitted her true age to him).
Shown as born Sandon in the 1851 census, Stone in 1861.
A relatively quick look (at the index on FMP, 11 Oct 2018 so probably some parishes missing) does not find the marriage of a William Bradshaw to a Dorothy anywhere in Staffordshire. I suspect William may not have existed. If he didn't Dorothy was probably born a Bradshaw; there was a Dorothy Bradshaw baptised in Sandon in 1790, daughter of Nicholas and Sarah - I think that is likely to be this Dorothy.

There is no sign (in index of PR entries on FMP or index of marriage registrations on FreeBMD) of a marriage following these banns. It appears that for some reasona church marriage did not happen, and Henry and Dorothy married in a civil ceremony the following year.
