There were no less than 9 birth registrations for an All(e/a/i)n Haighs in Huddersfield RD between 1842 and 1844.
The father's name, James, and occupation at this Allen's marriage, coachman, this seems to clarify that this Allen was the son of James and Sarah, James being a weaver in 1851 but a groom and coachman in 1861. In addition the 1861 census entry for the family shows Allen's place of birth as Lockwood, which agrees with that given for this Allen in the 1881 census. Looking for a marriage likely to be this James Haigh and Sarah finds one in 1843, with James marrying Sarah Shaw.This points to the following birth:

There were quite a number of Allen Haighs, several of a very similar age to this Allen. However, the vast majority of death registrations were in Yorkshire. Since this Allen had moved to London by 1901 and his wife died in London in 1913, I think it reasonable to suppose he died in the London area; assuming that, then this is the only death to fit.

Although the information was not required for a widow and was struck through, the 1911 census indicates that Allen and Emma had had five children, two of whom had by then died. Joe was clearly one of the latter, the 3 living presumably the other 3 shown here. The other who died was probably born and died between the same two censuses, so doesn't appear in any, and as there was clearly more than one Haigh = Gibson couple having children in Huddersfield RD at this time it is difficult to know who the other one was.
