Although a Joanna Jefferson married a William Bishop (Eastchurch, 1820) and the children included a John Jefferson BISHOP, it is clear that Joanna was the daughter of William and Sarah Jefferson, (William most likely John's brother) and not of John and Jane (William names a daughter Joanna Bishop in his will - 1850, PCC).
