The only Alfred Franklin whose birth was registered between 1883 and 1923 with the middle initials recorded as 'J B'. Whilst it is possible another had a second middle name and the initial is not in the index, the fact that the date or registration is exactly when you would expect someone with the dob of the Alfred J B Franklin in Nuneaton in 1939 to have been registered suggests I have the right one.
