n.b. another Susanna Holton was buried in Plymouth in 1629. Holton was a rare name in Plymouth and I think the other was this Susanna's mother, but I may have the burials the wrong way around.
The other burial was just a week after the Joan Gotham I think was the grandmother of this Susanna, I doubt if this was co-incidence. I suspect that whichever Susanna she picked up the same disease that her mother or grandmother died of when visiting or caring for her.

Under heading "Weddings July 1698" - "[6] Thomas Holton of North Yarmouth & Susan[n]a Gotham of Plymo. Li."
Holton was an uncommon name in Devon, although a Grace was buried in Plymouth in 1699. It would seem probable it was a child of Thomas and Susanna, except that there is no 'daugr of ...' after her name; many at this time do have such comments (12 out of the 15 burials at Charles Church in May 1699 are shown as son or daughter of ... so it seems to suggest Grace was probably not a young child.
An Elizabeth Holton, no known link to this family, was also buried at St. Andrews on 14 Mar 1713.
