GRO ref: Robinson, Walter James q1 1884 Stafford RD 6b 5; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Nixon
- looking at Staffordshire birth registrations between 1870 and 1890 on FreeBMD there is only one other Walter James Robinson, and he was born Shiffnal RD in 1873; both date and place make this one far more likely. No James Walter Robinsons in same period. (Looking on FreeBMD, 13 Feb 2017)
Gender Male Died Aft 1939 - Not with his wife in the 1939 register, although she was shown as married, not widowed.
His wife was in Nuneaton in the 1939 register and I think died in that Reg District. There were no Walter James' died there.
Possibly GRO ref: ROBINSON, Walter J q4 1951 aged 66 Birmingham RD 9c 150; GRO online index shows middle name as James.
Whilst this appears best fit on date / aged and likely location, it is not a perfect fit - there were Walter James born in Doncaster (Yorkshire), Ampthill (Bedfordshire) and Hackney (London) for whom this would was a perfect fit on age and I have not ruled them out.

If I have correctly identified Florence in the 1911 census then this shows that she and Walter only had one child (who was still living). Walter's 1911 service record agrees they had only one child.
