Elizabeth VRAWE
Set As Default Person -
Name Elizabeth VRAWE Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Est 1629 - Based on date of baptism of her husband and taking account of the date of their marriage.
Gender Female Buried 13 Feb 1654/55 St. Gregory the Great’s Church, Dawlish, Devon, England
- Shown as Elizabeth Gotham, wife of Robert
Notes - (Research):I think the marriage PR entry shows Elizabeth's surname as 'Vrawe' though it could be 'brawe'. However, the writer seems to consistently use capital letters for names so 'Vrawe' seems most likely. Neither seems to be a name found locally - judging by FMP index, as on 22 Oct 2017, but this could be due to being in a parish without surviving PRs for this time or not included in the FMP index. Alternatively, the usual spelling could be one not found by looking for the name above plus variants.
Possibly a variant of Fry, a few in the area, but there appears no concentration near Dawlish.
(The index does suggest the odd 'Brue' in Stokeinteignhead, but looking at the image is is clearly 'Drue')
