"June the 4th. John Tozer of Broadhempston, Yeoman was marryed to Elizabeth Gotham (both on widowhood) with Licence"
(the Hardwicke register for Ipplepen for marriages 1754-1813 appears not to have survived)

When John and Elizabeth married I think John had 6 children from his first marriage living, and Elizabeth 4 from hers; all 10 were probably living at home with them. They then went on to have another 6 together, although the final two, twins, both died shortly after birth, both being buried just six days afther they were baptised.
With her six step-children aged between just two and 15 Elizabeth no doubt played a mothering role to the younger children at least.
John was step-father to children aged five to 15, but may not have felt much affection for them. He did not leave a bequest to a single one of them. However, although his will was long it was a practical will, leaving generally large bequests, not small token ones to mark friendships, etc. and he may have been content, therefore, that their mother would take care of his step-children rather than not caring about them. One, Ann, pre-deceased John, dying as a childless widow, while the state of his two step-sons is at the time of writing (May 2022) unknown to me, but his other step-daughter, Elizabeth, definitely survived him.
