"1735: Joan Gotham wid was buried the 8th of August"
Joan's husband's brother Humphrey was also married to a Joan, who would also have been a widow in 1735, so it could be her burial.
However a widow Joan of Marledon was buried in Berry Pomeroy in 1731. Humphry's Joan was a widow in 1731, this Joan wasn't, and moreover Humphry's Joan came from Berry, so it seems almost certain that she was buried there, and that this burial was this Joan.
The court cases over the wills of both Humphrey and John may give clues.

Given that John was aged about 42 one or both of them may have been married before.
A Jone ADAMS married a John CORNISH in Dartmouth in 1687, a Joane MILWARD married Joseph CORNISH in Chudleigh ... there were too many Jone CORNISHes to be sure which this one was without a thorough study into the CORNISH family in the Marldon area.
