    • Abbotskerswell PRs survive with burials from May 1607; there is no record of a burial of Alexander Gotham. His son Richard seems to have been living in East Allington around this time - could Alexander have been buried there? The burial of an 'Alexander Heathman' is recorded in East Allington BTs in 1608 (image on FamilySearch, viewed 8 Oct 2016). From an index to marriages either side of this date, and to baptisms from 1641, Heathman does not appear to be an East Allington name. Was it a mis-reading of Goatham? I need to see the PRs.
