    • The first list, for 1713, names just 4 men in Abbotskerswell - and they include Peter. In each of the year 1715, 1717 and 1718 again 4 were listed, but no Peter. More (six) were listed in 1719 but again no Peter. In 1720, though, Peter reappears as one of the 8 people listed (and as one of the three 'Mr'). It is not clear why he would have dropped out of qualifying and then requalified - and why twice as many qualified in 1720 as in 1718. The qualification changed in 1730, but it remained the same from 1692 to 1730. Did freehold or copyhold land become available? Did the value of the land increase? And why had Peter come off the list in about 1714?
      1721 - 7 people - 5 Mr - Mr Peter
      1722 - 8 - 4 Mr - Mr Peter
      1725 - 9 - one gent, one yeoman, no Mr - Peter
Next list is for 1727 - and Peter is not on it, presumably because it was made after he had died. Unfortunately the entries do not give his occupation.
