    • Nothing in the burial register to indicate if the burial was his, his son or another John, but his widow Elizabeth married John Tozer in Ipplepen the following year.
      (That it was his widow who married John Tozer confirmed by John and Elizabeth's grave, which records that she afterwards married John Tozer. Also, John and Elizabeth Tozer had a son Henry Pinson TOZER, who was referred to as a brother by Ann, this John's daughter).
      However, a gravestone survives for John which shows he died 1775 aged 37.
