Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Notes - (Research):Looking for siblings of his son Francis and his marriage the data are confusing. At a glance it appears that there might be 3 siblings. However, the baptisms of two children of George are only 3 months apart so it appears there may have been at least two George's having children baptised in Earsdon at about the same time.
The 3 possible siblings are:
Easter - baptised 2 Apr 1694George - baptised 2 Jul 1694
Martin - baptised 20 Mar 1698 (too close to Francis is 1697/8, but probably 1698/9 and gap fine)
There were two marriages of Georges in Earsdon at around this time:
on 5 Jun 1693 George Brown marr Jane Herrison
on 2 May 1697 George Browne marr Ann Horn
The problem with these 2 is that the second is tool late for them to be the 2 George's who had children baptised in 1694, so there may have been 3 fathers callled George (though of course the 1697 marriage could be of a widower). There were a couple of marriages of Georges in the neighbouring parish of Tynemouth earlier in the 1690s, and probably others close enough that they might have involved a George of, or who subsequnetly lived in, Earsdon.
There were Georges baptised in Earsdon in 1668 (son of Martin), 1670 (son of Geo) and 1673 (son of Geo).
Unless the PRs contain more details, it is unlikely it will be possible to disentagle allthe Georges.
