      Died about two months after her youngest son; possibly the two were linked. Perhaps the same infection took them both. Perhaps Jane's ill health made her unable to provide her son with adequate nutrition, and / or feeding her son left her not strong enough to fight off an infection.

      The register of marriage bonds (image on FamilySearch) shows that the witnesses were George Brown, possibly Jane's father but likely her brother, and one John Elstob.
