  	GRO ref: WRIGHT, Alfred q4 1910 Marylebone RD 1a 472; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Cooch The gap between the registration of the death of Edward Richard Wright and the birth of Alfred has to raise the question as to whether Edward was Alfred's father. If Edward died at the end of q3 1909, i.e. late September, then a son he fathered is not likely to have been born after mid-July 1910 (if born a couple of weeks late). With 6 weeks allowed for the registration of the birth, it should not have been registered after about late August 1910, i.e. in quarter 3. There is nothing in the register to indicate the birth was registered late, but maybe if a little late it would not have been noted. In addition, Eliza may have 'adjusted' the date so as not to be fined for a late registration. I think it most likely, though, that Alfred was not the father of Edward. Anyone wanting to be more sure should buy his birth certifcate, although that would only give the information that Eliza will have supplied. (He is too much on the fringe of my tree for me to buy the certificate)
