      By the time of the 1911 census William had died and Sarah had remarried. There was, therefore, no reason for information about Sarah's marriage to William to be recorded. The length of marriage and total number of children born alive clearly do refer to her second marriage, the latter answer being 'none'. However, the following figures of 2 (children still living) and 1 (children who had died) must refer to the children of this earlier marriage, and agree with the number found in the birth registration index, searching with a maiden name of Jolley.
