Father Lawrence TREHERN, d. Aft 1593 Mother Joane GRILLS, d. Aft 1593 Married Bef 1593 - Joan's brother Sampson left bequests to several sisters or to children of deceased named sisters in his will. He does not mention Joan as living or dead, but left bequests to 'my Cozen Edwarde Trehane' and 'my Cozen Peter Trehane'. The bequests come immediately after those to his sisters and to the children of named deceased sisters. Edward and Peter were each left twenty shillings, the same as the amount left to the unnamed children of his deceased sisters Bridget and Pascowe. I guess that although described differently they were the sons of Joan and Lawrence, 'Cozen' being used in the 'kinsmen' meaning.
