- Shown in the 1939 register as born 1 July [18]61! I am guessing that Maud was claiming to have been born in 1901 and the enumerator misread a 0 as a 6, and wasn't thinking. (Since Sydney and Maud had a child clearly she wasn't the 44 years older than him suggested in the register)
Actually there is no birth registration of a Maud E Stumbles in 1901, but there was one in 1897, so I guess Maud had 'adjusted' her age to bring it closer to her husband's.
