Lewes STUCLEY
Set As Default Person -
Name Lewes STUCLEY Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Notes - (Research):Possibly the same person as this Lewis Stucley. He appears from Vivian to have been an only child, is, and whilst no age is given his parents married in 1627 so he was most likely born soon after that and so of a similar age to Alice. The marriage shown in Vivian was not until 1670-1 when Lewes is likely to have been aged around 40, so could well have been a widower.
Another possibility is the above Lewes's cousin, the Lewis Stucley who was chaplain to Oliver Cromwell (both shown in Vivian, Devon vis., p.722), a second son, as his elder brother was aged just 17 in 1637/8 when their father died, so Lewes was probably born in the 1620s. The marriage for him in Vivian was in 1672/3, so again could well have been a widower.
